Background

 

Dr. Simmons and his wife have a passion for breeding and showing champion dogs.  In fact, they have the honor of winning the 2017 Westminster Grand Champion Bree’s Select for Havanese among many other awards!  An integral part of the success is the meticulous and challenging process of grooming these prized canines!   

 

Seeing many limitations with the currently available pet grooming tools, Dr. Simmons began working to develop the ultimate pet grooming system.  He designed, built and tested various brush heads and after several years of tinkering he had developed a complete line of pet brushes that he felt was suitable for professionally grooming virtually any dog with any coat.

 

Design & Prototyping 

 

At this point, he engaged DCP to develop professional prototypes for his product that he could use to make his final manufacturing decisions for his line of pet brushes. After several months the professional design services for his pet grooming brush line was approved.   DCP then developed physical prototypes for all of his approved designs and delivered them to Dr. Simmons.  While very pleased with the first round of prototypes, after significant testing and examination, Dr. Simmons came up with numerous improvements that he wanted for his manufactured product line.  After the completion of a 2nd round of designs and  new approvals, the new prototypes were delivered.  Dr. Simmons was very pleased with the results!  Feeling that he had his final product line nailed down, he decided to move forward with manufacturing.

Manufacturing

DCP connected Dr. Simmons with one of their overseas manufacturing resources  who he engaged directly for the manufacturing of his Pet Brush line while the DCP team assisted with communication, decision making and management of the overall manufacturing project.  DCP also performed a second project in parallel for the design and production of his product packaging.   Dr. Simmons now has his inventory and is working on his sales and marketing of his product.
