Background

 

Sherry came up with the idea of customizable lighted signage that drivers could attach to their vehicles and display various attractive backlit images and sayings to share their moods, favorite sayings or even logo's for their favorite sports teams.  Interested in manufacturing her product, Sherry knew she would first need to develop good quality prototypes before making the larger investments in production runs.

Prototyping

When Sherry first contacted DCP, she had already hired 3 other engineering firms in an attempt to develop her product and all 3 failed to produce a working prototype that met her production requirements. 

 

DCP recommended first solving all of the areas of failure by the  prior engineering firms and only then investing the resources to develop a full prototype.  After many months of testing and tweaking DCP solved all of the problems that had caused failures in the prior prototype efforts.  Sherry moved forward and ordered two different prototype styles.  Both prototypes were successfully completed and shipped to Sherry.

Manufacturing Costing

At Sherry's request, DCP performed a small manufacturing costing project and provided Sherry with production estimates for a small production run.  Sherry is now looking at various options for financing production.
