A tale of two prototype Companies

Jennifer invented a product to help hide and manage unsightly power cords as well as protect the outlets from tiny children's wandering hands.

After flying in to meet with a prominent prototype company, very impressed with their expensive facility and presentation, she paid them $13,000 to design and build a prototype for her invention which consisted of two plastic components that latched and hinged together to form a protective container for electrical cords.

After 1 1/2 years Jennifer still did not have a prototype that worked to the point where she had confidence going into production on the current design.

At this point Jennifer hired Dirt Cheap Prototypes, who then developed two more prototypes in a fraction of the time and at a fraction of the cost.

Based on the quality of the 2nd prototype, Jennifer went into production on her product with DCP's project management assistance.

Jennifer now has packaged inventory and is working on her sales and marketing.

Testimonial

"While the development of my product was much more involved with regard to both time and cost than I had expected, having worked with two prominent product development firms, I found that DCP's pricing, quality and services were all much better."
